Dr. Mark & Christy Taylor, Lead Pastors
Mark A. Taylor, a native of California, was called to ministry at an early age. This calling has led him to minister across the United States through both word and song. His passion for Jesus fuels his deep commitment to serving communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley, where he and his wife, Christy, have dedicated themselves to teaching and mentoring people of all generations in the transformative love of God. They are excited to be back in Visalia, CA, continuing their mission of service to their local community.
Mark is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and has an extensive educational background, including:

Additionally, Mark is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and is just one exam away from obtaining his Licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, specializing in social work, mental health case management, clinical counseling, and organizational leadership. He also serves as the Ministerial Care Director for the CA/NV Church of God Region, supporting pastors and leaders across the state.
Christy Taylor, also a Visalia, CA native, is a minister within the Church of God at the Exhorter level and serves as the Administrative Pastor at Thrive Church. She holds multiple academic degrees:

Christy’s lifelong passion for music ministry has led her to perform as a solo artist and as part of southern gospel groups such as The Curtsinger’s and Mercy’s Destination. Today, she leads worship each Sunday at Thrive Church, blending music with heartfelt exhortation to create an atmosphere where people can experience the presence of God.
Together, Mark and Christy serve as faculty members at Patten University, where they equip students with the spiritual and academic foundations necessary for ministry and community leadership. Their shared passion is to minister under God’s anointing, openly sharing life experiences, challenges, and victories to connect with those they serve. They embrace modern technology and media as tools to spread messages of hope, deliverance, and redemption, ensuring that the Word of God remains relevant and accessible to all.

Ruben & Kathryn Anderson, Assistant Pastors
Both ordained ministers in the Church of God, Ruben and Kathy serve as assistant pastors at Thrive Church, bringing a wealth of experience in missions, youth, and children’s ministry. Ruben, a dedicated missionary to Kampala, Uganda, has made numerous trips there, witnessing God’s power through salvation, Spirit-driven miracles, and ongoing discipleship across Kampala and the surrounding areas.
Kathryn has a unique gift for communicating the Gospel to diverse age groups, ministering to women, teens, and children with grace and clarity. Together, they serve their local community: Kathryn leads the church’s food pantry ministry, 12 Baskets, while Ruben teaches the Legacy Builders Bible study group on Sundays. Their tireless efforts reflect their passion for fulfilling the Great Commission and advancing God’s kingdom.

Adam & Margee Dowdy, Community Engagement Team Lead | KIDZthrive Team Lead
Adam and Margee Dowdy serve Thrive Church with joy, infectious smiles, and unwavering positivity, always ready to do whatever it takes to advance God’s Kingdom. Adam, as the Community Engagement Team Lead, is dedicated to creating welcoming spaces for community members to connect with Thrive Church and encounter the love of Jesus. Margee leads our children’s ministry, KIDZthrive, with a passion for providing a safe, nurturing environment where kids can build a deep and meaningful relationship with Jesus every Sunday morning and Monday evening.
Their love for people and servant-hearted approach shine through in everything they do. No task is too small or too challenging for them because their faith surpasses any obstacles life may bring. Adam and Margee embody true servant leadership and are living out their purpose, making Thrive Church a place where others can flourish.

Kimberly Stewart, Adminstrative Support
Kim serves Thrive Church with dedication in multiple roles, providing essential administrative support to the church leadership and facilitating our children’s ministry, KIDZthrive, including JAM (Jesus And Me) KIDZ CLUB, where children are given a fun, engaging space to learn about the Bible. She is a joyful and content individual who continually seeks ways to uplift others, living out the message of Jesus in authentic and impactful ways.
Kim actively supports her community, embracing every opportunity to minister locally through both direct and intercessory prayer. In addition to her ministry work, she plays a vital role behind the scenes, creating much of the church’s media content and serving in the “box” as a skilled sound and media technician.
