Proximity 2026 is Thrive Church’s spiritual formation strategy designed to help our church live out our mission to Gather. Grow. Go. It is rooted in the belief that transformation does not happen at a distance from Jesus, but in nearness to Him. Before Jesus ever sent His disciples, He first called them to be with Him (Mark 3:14). Proximity is where identity is formed, hearts are healed, and purpose is revealed.

Throughout 2026, we are intentionally leading our church through a journey of drawing closer to Jesus so that He can shape us into His image and send us into His mission. This strategy is built on the biblical pattern seen in the feeding of the five thousand, where “He took, He blessed, He broke, and He gave” (Matthew 14:19). In the same way, Jesus takes our lives, blesses us through His presence, forms us through surrender, and gives us to the world as vessels of His love and
power.

Proximity 2026 aligns every part of Thrive Church including worship gatherings, discipleship environments, leadership development, and community engagement around one central goal: helping people live close enough to Jesus to be transformed and sent. As we draw near to Him, we become a people who Gather in His presence, Grow in His likeness, and Go in His authority to bring hope to our community and beyond.
